A head to head!
St Ives Head 2014
On 19th October, HBC took a trailer full of boats over to St Ives for what turned out to be a head to head competition. Unfortunately no other clubs were able to attend the Head of River event but despite this it was good to have a local competition.
The course started at St Ives Bridge and comprised 1,700 metres down to Hemingford Lock before turning around and heading back to the bridge again for a total distance of 3,400 metres.
Joseph Hardman and Gatley Searle made they competition debut in the J16 2x and achieved their first win. Sophie and Charlotte McGinley achieved a win in the J17 2x whilst Tawney Evans and Emily Harman picked up pots in the J16 2x. Evie Andrew collected a pot for her win in the J15 1x whilst Elliot Hammond won the IM3 1x.
A very successful and enjoyable day.
